As you may have heard, someone on a bicycle set off a bomb this morning in the middle of Times Square. At that very moment, Taunia and I were asleep in our hotel room less than a block away. We didn't hear anything. But we'd been in the exact spot of the bombing three hours earlier. After being tipped off about the bombing this morning (thanks, Jeremy A), we went outside to investigate. As you can see, the NYPD had the place surrounded. The target was a military recruiting station. Within hours, things were back to normal in Times Square, and southern tourists could once again enter the M&M Store and by cute trinkets and t-shirts.
