Denver is one step closer to hosting the 2008 Democratic National Convention!
Union leaders have now signed off on the bid. Earlier, unions were dissatisfied with the lack of unionized hotels in Denver. Since then, workers at the Hyatt Regency at the Colorado Convention Center were allowed to form a union.
The DNC is expected to make its final choice between denver and New York City by early December.
Among the things that makes Denver a strong contender is its renovated convention center and the flashy new convention center hotel.
