Prosecutors charged a 20-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with a double murder and the shooting of a 9-year-old boy. They say the shooter was after money and the 9-year-old's Playstation.
When police asked the suspect his whereabouts the night of the shooting, Wardell L. Williams told them he was "jazzercizing on top of the World Trade Center."
"To have someone be so cavalier... adds an edge to this crime that makes it more serious than it would appear at first blush," prosecutor Michael Sanders says.
