So Friday night we went to a great outdoor concert in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. It's about a mile from our place. The headliners were the Cold War Kids, a great band from California. Their opening act was Elvis Perkins, who was also excellent. He has a really interesting backstory, too. His father was Anthony Perkins, the actor who starred in "Psycho," and later died of AIDS. His mother was Berry Berensen, a photographer, actress and model who happened to be aboard American Airlines Flight 11 when it crashed into the World Trade Center on 9/11. His music is terrific, with a real 60s flair, and you should check it out!
