First disgraced televangelist Jim Bakker sets up shop in Branson. Now Tammy Faye is moving to Kansas City.
The community of Loch Lloyd in south Kansas City is abuzz with word that Bakker’s ex-wife is moving to the gated upscale golfing and homes community. It's all true, says Parks & Rec commish Bob Lewellen, who confirmed the story with a number of his friends who live at Loch Lloyd.
“I’m glad she chose Missouri over Kansas,” says Lewellen, who lives in south KC.
Village of Loch Lloyd clerk Wayne Little also confirms that Tammy Faye is on her way.
“They bought a lot and are going to build a house out here,” Little says. “Things are kind of popping out here. It’s a great place to live. A lot of people are really excited about her moving out here.” Tammy Faye is married to Kansas-based millionaire church builder Roe Messner.
