So I was asked to go live Thursday with Bill O'Reilly, on "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News Channel. I said no.
Most people wouldn't turn down a guest spot on the Number One rated show on cable TV. But I turned it down in no time flat, for two reasons. One, Thursday was my day off... and I was drained from the emotion of covering the school shooting the day before. I really don't want to go on national TV and re-hash it.
The second reason is less complex. I'm not a big fan of O'Reilly. And I don't want to get yelled at, like his other guests do.
