So last night was Katie Couric's big debut as anchor of "The CBS Evening News." And what was her big "scoop?" This crap. A picture of Tom Cruise and his sham wife and their child.
This used to be the newscast of record for the United States. This is the newscast Walter Cronkite used to anchor. The newscast where Edward R. Murrow held court. And now a Tom Cruise publicity stunt is what the broadcast has come down to. Entertainment Tonight called, Katie. They want you to stick to the REAL news, and they'll handle the Tom Cruise crap.
