Former President Gerald Ford may have made his last trip to Colorado's Vail Valley.
Family spokeswoman Penny Circle says the 93-year-old former president is considering the sale of his longtime vacation getaway in the mountain community of Beaver Creek.
Circle says even a visit to Vail Valley will depend on how Ford feels in the future. No decisions have been made.
Ford and his wife, Betty, have been coming to Vail Valley for decades. The couple is renowned for their charity work in the high country.
But the former president's health has been failing. He had to leave Colorado this past summer suffering from shortness of breath, and he had a pacemaker installed. He is back in his Rancho Mirage, California, home this week after five days in a hospital for undisclosed tests.
By the way, most of us in the media are prepared for the former President's death. I've already produced a 4-minute long retrospective on his life, and it's ready to air the minute we learn of his passing.
